Amanda Lee Glassware to auction off original Heart of Steel for Sharing Heart Gala

Pitt Ohio Raffle Available for Purchase!
November 6, 2019

Amanda Lee Glassware, located in Oakmont with a combined gallery, store-front and open production studio, will be sharing its heart for Zachary’s Mission through its vibrant donation of a piece called, “Heart of Steel” for the Sharing Heart Gala. With the help of two full-time artists, Amanda, owner of Amanda Lee Glassware, reimagines glassware collections through over 75 unique designs with many only available by visiting the store.

Her work has been featured through the 2016 US Open through Golf Digest, NBC News for Mother and Father’s Day gift guides, and Rachael Ray Every Day magazine. Now, she is gifting her artistic abilities by donating her original artwork for an open bid auction portion of the Sharing Heart Gala as part of the evening festivities.

Her colorful passion branches into collage art, in which the Heart of Steel has more than meets the eye. The prospective owner of the work can find hidden pieces of steel in the bold Pittsburgh skyline as he or she studies the recycled magazine materials. As the viewer gets closer, you may be able to find more Pittsburgh-related items that represent the best of our city!

Amanda says, “Having an open bid auction at the Sharing Heart Gala of an original piece is a big deal, because I never sell originals. For Zachary’s Mission, I’m willing to make this remarkable exception for a great cause.”

After the open bid auction, the Heart of Steel will be available for purchase at her studio through print replications only. Be sure to participate in the open bid portion of the Sharing Heart Gala while doing some good, as this is the first time someone can own an original piece curated by Amanda herself! All proceeds benefit Zachary’s Mission.
